Building on the infrastructure established for Hepworth’s fruit, vegetable, and hemp business, the Hepworth Pura joint venture is developing one of New York’s pre-eminent extraction, manufacturing, and distribution operations. 

Extraction

Hepworth Pura is one of only a handful of processors in the state of New York with ethanol, solventless and hydrocarbon extraction capabilities.

At present, the three lines include the following capabilities:

  • High throughput ethanol extraction facility for distillate production. The system has the capability to process 2,000 lbs of biomass per day. Only eight (8) ethanol extraction systems are currently operational in the state of New York.

  • Hydrocarbon and Solventless production systems with a combined throughput of 500 lbs fresh frozen or high-quality cured material per day.

  • Vapes

  • Pre-rolls Infused and Traditional

  • Blunts Infused and Traditional

  • Gummies and Edibles

  • Tinctures and Topicals

  • Concentrates

Manufacturing & production

To fulfill the processing, manufacturing, and distribution demands of the New York adult-use market, Hepworth Pura has transformed a 22,000 SF industrial space in Milton into a processing, manufacturing, packaging, and fulfillment center. Here Hepworth Pura is partnered with best-in-class, Final Bell, and together they’ve invested strategically into automated systems including Accelerant pre-roll machines, Rad Source remediation systems, and much more.

In addition to the extraction and manufacturing facility in Milton, Hepworth Pura has set up an industrial kitchen to manufacture gummies. The kitchen will be run under a co-manufacturing agreement with Smokiez.

WESSELS FARMS

A family farm since 1945, and prior to cannabis, it had been used for both ornamental flowers and hemp production. The facility is only 45 minutes from the Hepworth-Pura facility where its output will be processed. The farm includes 190,000 SF of gutter-connected greenhouses and 110,000 SF of heated hoop houses. Pura is locating its genetics at this facility and has been building a robust nursery operation. This facility will have year-long cultivation capabilities, and will provide valuable high end flower inputs for Hepworth-Pura’s internal brands along with its brand partners.
