Building on the infrastructure established for Hepworth AG’s fruit, vegetable, and hemp business, the Hepworth Pura joint venture has developed New York’s pre-eminent extraction, manufacturing, and distribution facility. The operations are located in a 22,000 SF former vegetable processing plant that has been transformed to produce and distribute to New York’s adult use cannabis market.

Extraction

Hepworth Pura is one of only a handful of processors in the state of New York with ethanol, solventless and hydrocarbon extraction capabilities.

At present, the three lines include the following capabilities:

  • High throughput ethanol extraction facility for distillate production. The system has the capability to process 2,000 lbs of biomass per day. Only eight (8) ethanol extraction systems are currently operational in the state of New York.

  • Hydrocarbon and Solventless production systems with a combined throughput of 500 lbs fresh frozen or high-quality cured material per day.

Manufacturing & production

In New York, Hepworth Pura is partnered with best-in-class, Final Bell, and together they’ve invested strategically into automated systems from pre-roll machines to labeling and packaging. The partnership will manufacture and fulfill for the in-house brands Hepworth and Pura, alongside dozens of nationally recognized brands.

Current processing and manufacturing capabilities include:

  • Gummies and Edibles

  • Tinctures and Topicals

  • Concentrates

  • Beverages (Future)

In addition to the extraction and manufacturing facility in Milton, Hepworth Pura has set up an industrial kitchen to manufacture gummies. The kitchen will be run under a co-manufacturing agreement with Smokiez Edibles.
